I’m really proud that all of my jewellery in made in the UK - different processes are worked on from my studio in Dorset to plating and hallmarking in London to my casting house in Scotland.
All of my textile ribbon pieces are made exclusively by me in my studio.
My silver and gold designs begin in the studio, where I make the piece in wax to begin with. I send this for casting and receive the piece in solid silver which I then finish and polish by hand. Once ready, this is sent for gold-plating and hallmarking (if required) in London.

Necklaces: Lengths are listed on each product page. As a guide, 18 inch / 46cm chain is designed to sit elegantly on the collarbone, while a 24 inch chain offer a longer, more relaxed drape - perfect for layering over knitwear or styling with higher necklines
Earrings: Dimensions for each design are listed on the individual product pages to help you envision the scale
Rings: If you are unsure of your size, I recommend visiting a local jeweller to be measured or contacting us for a printable size guide
Please do feel free to email me studio@emmacalvert.com if you require any further info about an item and I can help advise on sizing.

Yes. I use a significantly higher layer of gold than standard "gold plated" jewellery.
Each piece is first cast in recycled sterling silver and then coated in a thick, heavy layer of 23.75kt gold. Because I apply a much thicker layer of gold than the industry average, the finish is designed to endure.
However, all gold plating can naturally wear over time depending on use. To keep your pieces glowing for years, I recommend:
Removing jewellery before washing, swimming or exercising
Waiting for perfumes and lotions to dry before putting your jewellery on
Storing your pieces in their pouch or jewellery box to reduce friction
