SATURDAY 20 JUNE at 2PM - Emma Calvert and Maud Traon in Conversation | Instagram Live

I’m going to talking with my wonderful and talented friend Maud Traon about all things jewellery, colour and inspiration (and what it’s like sharing Studio 106!). Check out her beautiful work here: www.maudtraon.com

THE BIG MAKE - Friday 12.30pm, Saturday 12.30pm, Sunday 5.30pm | Instagram: @emmacalvertjewellery

I’m also taking part in The Big Make alongside 8 other makers, each of us having a challenge to complete work over the Festival weekend.

My challenge to create a necklace from recycled denim - see how I (hopefully) transform a few pairs of old jeans into a new statement necklace! I’m excited to use some more unusual materials in my work, especially while actively looking for ways of becoming a more sustainable in everything that I do. Creating this necklace from unwanted materials will be part of making this change throughout everything I create going forwards. My ultimate goal is to work towards being a circular, sustainable business, with little or no waste, sourcing the most sustainable materials and using the most efficient production methods possible.

Particularly during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic, homeless people are more likely to feel isolated, unwanted by society and self-isolation may be quite difficult for them to accept and adhere to and The 999 Club is working to help provide basic needs for those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness at this uncertain time.

The 999 Club and Lady Florence Trust is a Registered Charity No 1091077, and a Registered Company No: 4238295
